BABY THOMPSON IS ARRIVING IN DECEMBER!
We will be welcoming our baby girl, Jazmine, around December 14…or whenever she decides to make her debut!
We first want to say thank you to our community of family and friends who’ve been there for us as we continue to navigate the loss of my amazing mother, transitioned Dack away from SFPD and over to Sebastopol PD to be closer to home, transitioned me away from a job that was not bringing me joy, and supporting us as we dealt with the delicate journey of fertility. The last few years have been quite the ride. We continue to feel the love from our community and hope you’ve felt our reciprocal love.
With love,
April & Dack

When it comes to more personal updates, I don’t feel comfortable sharing on social. So, here’s a way to stay in touch with Jazmine and the rest of the family
OUR STORY.
Dack and April met the day before Thanksgiving in 2017. The few years have been filled with life-changing events that would break most couples. Instead, we chose to love each other deeper, evolve and build a life strengthened by our fierce love. We stand together now as partners, lovers, best friends, and the best versions of ourselves.
We are now faced with life’s biggest challenge yet, an ailing parent. My mom, Rita, was diagnosed with ALS in August of 2019. Since then, she’s had a decline in her health and no longer can walk or stand. Her illness has inspired Dack and I to get going on getting married! We chose to hold our wedding in the backyard of my parents’ home to make sure Mom can join in on the celebration with the comfort of home.
Dack and I share a home together in Sebastopol and have everyTHING we need. As they say, “Your presence is our present.”
However, if you wish to support us and our wedding, we have setup a HoneyFund account for those who wish to contribute to help offset the cost of the wedding. If there are any extra funds, Dack and I may chose to go on a local weekend honeymoon. :-)
On March 21st we got married at Rita and Joseph Jimenez’s home. Our plans to have our wedding on April 11 were moved up because of my mom’s health. She passed away the night of March 24th. We are so beyond grateful we were able to share this milestone with her and those who were able to join us via Zoom.
